From the ERRL forum: 'Please note we have had a second person listed on the start list withdraw, and also 2 reserves withdraw, if it gets to it on the day we will be allowing entry on the line' looks like Jon gets to ride. Good luck to you all

MArk, I know that Will Raymond (WW) wants to ride. & is looking for a team. Unfortunately Dan & Rebecca at Newport so they can't be in a team Alison

We have a spare pair of basic Altura shorts - size medium if any one want them for a donation my favourite charity Alison

This event clashes with one of the rounds of the national youth circuit races at Solihull which maybe why they are struggling for youth entries.

Watching all the young riders over the past 3 days at the UK School Games has been a truly uplifting experience. All of the yougsters put in some amazing performances. It has been exhausting just watching them so no wonder they all looked somewhat ja…

If Daniel is recovered from his tonsilitis he will come along. (Youth A) If I am feeling very brave I may well dust off my mountain bike & come along too. (Youth in spirit)

Daniel , Thanks for taking Dan along. He seems to be more suited to steps than hurdles! Dan commented that Bryn has a storming race given that he was on a mountain bike - one to watch I imagine. The weather for the race was very different to last y…

Too long & fast for me - but Daniel will join you. I will be going out - so if anyone wants to do 25 or so miles at a steady pace - feel free to join me. Alison
-
Chaps - Try to keep the jokes relatively 'clean' as Daniel is still only 13. Either that or make sure he isn't in earshot , he needs to work hard - so you can put him on the front!
-
Chris - Assuming the weather isn't too foul & he is n't too tired from the Cyclo Cross race on Saturday, Daniel would like to join the ride on Sunday. He has been out on Sunday's before but with Richard. Let me know if you are OK for him to joi…

Rebecca, Paul & I did the shorter ride - Croyden Hill, Gamlingay, Wrestlingworth loop -24 miles at a 14.7 mph It comes to something when your daughter gives you a helping push up the hills!
-
Rebecca & I are hoping to be out this week - assuming the weather is OK (we are fair weather cyclists!) We will be doing something a bit shorter -20 -25 miles if anyone wants to join us. Alison

Thanks David & Emma for running the TT tonight Love the 3 stopwatches Emma! Daniel very pleased with his time - an improvement of 3 mins on last year. Even more pleased he went under 27' as he gets his extra sponsor money from Mark C & Danie…

Is the start sheet published anywhere? Just wondering whether Junior Maynard & the other Welwyn Juniors made the cut.

None of the CCA youth stayed on after the RSR. Daniel was 3rd U 14 just managing to outsprint his Welwyn team mate. Richard reported that the car waa silent on way home, both boys being completly exhausted after 6 hours of training & then the r…

The whitewebb event has been listed as cancelled on BC website. Rumour has it that the organisers were unable to find a hall for the HQ

Rebecca really enjoyed (!?!) the ride. 'What we have to go up & down all of those hills'. Arrived home pink cheeked and exhilerated. She is just taking a short snooze now ( a ploy to getting out of homework rather than being tired) Thanks for ke…

Joshua will be doing the 2/3 race at 12.30 & Daniel will be there for the youth race. Which means , of course, that Richard will be there too ,from 11.30 or so shouting support (& instructions) .

Well done Daniel Doncaster..... From the Imperial Racing Web site: The WyndyMilla 4th cat. prize is awarded to 12th place finisher Daniel Doncaster (CC Ashwell), he can look forward to a WyndyMilla go faster cycle fitting at their Manor Farm Cy…

Well done Dave & Phil for their 4th & 6th places in the 3rd Cat race. Glad you were both ahead of the crash just before the finish! Joshua did his 1st race as Junior in the E123 & finished 13th.
-
Daniel was also at the Chelmsford race, racing in the Youth section. He found it very tough going , particularly the steps which were a real challenge as he was on a mountain bike rather than a cross bike. He finished 23rd which he was please with. …

I will be doing a shorter route on Saturday & am happy for anyone to join me if they aren't up for David's 36 miler. Cafe Maynard should be in operation this week. Alison

As a 'Mrs Mamil' I say - Yes it is true. Thanks David - gave me a much needed laugh.
-
From Richard: Just bringing this back to the top - any youth riders interested in joining us for this event?
-
What Joshua failed to mention is that the size of the field was much larger than we see in the UK with 140 starters in his category with a broom wagon operating in all races. In the Classica & the 1st Crit there were only 80 plus finishers of th…
