Sounds like a sensible call. Heading north then! Off to find some hills?

For those who are up for the there and back ride, just note that if we do it it will be rolling through, through and off. If you’re not familiar with this then it’s easy to pick up and quite good fun, passes the time pretty quickly too! Free spee…

Thanks for getting the club 10 back on the road, Andy! Would have stayed longer for a chat (almost did, not quite got this foot down thing particularly slick yet) but was in a bit of a rush. See you next week! If I’m working on the weds I should be…

Will decide for sure nearer the time, but possibly up for a return trip leaving at 6am from the tuns. Post up if you’re interested. In the past we’ve usually managed 5-6 of us. It’s important that your bike is in good nick and you’ve got vagu…

Matt! If I only have a Bluetooth powermeter and not a smart trainer, will it still work?

Sorry to say, but the Primaveras will be cancelled this year on the recommendation of British Cycling. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/road/article/20200312-British-Cycling-Coronavirus-COVID19-Guidance-0

must have been pretty tricky in a hazmat suit...

Nope Rob... I wouldn’t. Pretty sure isolation means isolation... from everybody else...

Hello chaps, almost there now! Thanks Taff, you’re on the list! I still really need somebody to help Ed marshalling the car park and another hand or two for the kitchen. Also we will need some CAKE DONATIONS! A bike race without homemade…
-
Hello all! To make the race a good safe race, I’ll need two more drivers and one more volunteer to help out at the HQ/parking. That’s a minimum! The more people we have helping out the smoother the races will run. All looking good so f…

Just a reminder that there will be FREE COFFEE AND CAKE!!!! For all volunteers...

Oh yes. Always put everything inside a WATERPROOF bag inside your handlebar bag. When my girlfriend met me at kings cross after we got the train back from the other side of the ferry she said my lips were blue. It was very cold.

Handlebar bag with a pair of jeans and a t shirt, espadrilles and enough euros for several beers worked for me. Normal lights. A front light enough to see ahead but the only night time riding on the last few trips were the couple of miles from the fe…

Hello all! Still looking for 5-6 more volunteers to help put this race on. Without your input it won’t be able to go ahead! Also, if anybody wants to share the poster on their social media to up the race numbers (mainly aimed at the wome…

Brendan, here’s your chance to give it a go then! It’s going to be a safe race as the hill keeps things calm (noted from last year) and the standard of riding will hopefully be high. It’s a 3/4, so no better place to start on your road racing! …

Hello all! Just another shout out for a few more volunteers, come and give back a little more to the club if you have the time! You’ll love the atmosphere on the day, it’s always great! Looking for a couple more people to drive, y…

I might be around for this too.

Thanks to Steve J for contributing another £100 for prize money!

Ok, so everything looking good so far, I’ve been on the case with the HQ hunting and hopefully have found somewhere suitable. As we’re looking to break even with the races this year I’ve increased the entry fee from £16 to £20 online and £2…

I think Langley community centre looks like a rather small shed... it needs to be a bit bigger. I did think of the school, and will contact them tomorrow during school hours. Problem with having an HQ on the circuit that might not have parking for ev…

Cheers Martin! I’ll stick you down to help with signs and a bit of sandwich making/HQ stuff unless you fancy a bit of driving?
-
Wonderful. Will be good to have Richard there, as ever anyway! On another note, unfortunately this year Great Chishill village hall is booked up, so we can’t use that for the race. Does anybody have any suggestions for good sized village hall…

Was good to get out for a bit of winter breeze! Cheers for posting this up. See you in 2020!

Sold!

Congratulations Jenny! That’s great news. 1904RT seem like a really nice bunch, very active and positive. You’ll have a great time riding with them. It’ll be good to see you at all the usual CCA stuff too if you’re around, I’ll expect …

What a brilliant event! I was lucky to get the off camber corner to marshal so watched the best worried looking faces in the race. Excellent course by the looks of it and nothing but positive comments from the racers.

Everybody knows there’s only one proper winter tyre to use these days. Anything that isn’t a Bontrager AW3 is the wrong choice.

Lovely full mudguards... perfect winter bike. Bargain price, especially knowing how well Adam looks after his bikes.
