Great stuff Jenny! On that note, would anybody be up for chaperoning Archie B over the next few weeks? I know he’s really keen to ride the TTs and looking to break the 19mph barrier if anybody would be happy sitting on his wheel for any of the…

Brendan’s a true time trialist, when I got back to the HQ he had his arm in a sling and was looking at his Garmin saying “I was on for a low 22 too”. Priorities! I hope he recovers quickly. 2nd broken collarbone, therefore making him a proper, …

Hi Dan. Do the club have any pro SL jerseys and shorts on order or is it just the standard ones?
-
I will be there, am riding round with Archie Bracewell as a bit of a chaperone on his first 10 but will be able to help out too if need be

As vaguely discussed at the AGM, I’d say that we should be really pushing the grass track as it’s what makes CCA unique in the local cycling scene... storage/changing facilities/toilets...
-
That’s the same circuit that the Primavera used to run on, if that helps...

Great! Thanks Claire, sounds brilliant.

We’ll be a two first aid bags sort of club then. Lil Swan stocked up a first aid bag before the Primavera that should be with all the club TT stuff. Can never have enough though! There’s a pack of 100 latex gloves or so in the box somewhere, not …

I’ll be down there in a bit if you’ve not got anybody extra lined up. To help, not to ride!

Excellent work Tom. That’s brilliant! Well deserved... I remember him dropping out the back of the Crest a few years ago but still finishing the race off. Huge kudos for that, most would have turned round and gone back to the HQ, especially on such…

Excellent stuff! Speedy day on the E2 and an outrageous PB for you. 1.44 and only 12th? Just goes to show the advances in TT riding these days. Great ride! Not even half way through the season yet too, lots more fast times to come from you!

Fast night tonight! I might ride a club 10 this year... 1 more than last year! Will be along to help for sure at some point when I’m not working on a weds night.

I think she’d make better use of it than myself... feel free to drop in anytime to have a look. I’m in Letchworth
-
Some excellent faces there. Well done all.
-
Haven’t been for some time but when I used to get out with them this was always my favourite club run. See you a week weds.

One last note from the air ambulance people: “Thank you very much for your kind donation of £205.00 via our website on behalf of cycle club Ashwell. We were sorry to hear that your annual road race had to be abandoned and we hope you will be able…

Excellent stuff... Obviously always welcome back to race in blue with us (when I eventually get my backside back on the bike next season). See you thurs probs.
-
Thanks chaps. Andy, Martin and Toma... sorry to peel off early, was having a lovely time! Hope you had a good ride. Also good to see my bike doesn’t turn into a pumpkin after being ridden for 2 hours.

The prize money was donated to the east anglia air ambulance trust today.

Thank you to all, MC thanks for printing out all the sheets and getting there super early adorned in a high vis jacket, clearly dressed for the marshalling tasks ahead. Richard Lawrence organised the marshals with suitable organisation skills and equ…

A HUGE thank you to all who were involved today. Unusually for the Primavera the weather was a bit soggy and not altogether pleasant which combined with some bad road surfaces and a bit of ropey riding led to the race being abandoned due to safety co…

Thanks Geoff... Things are not looking so good for a women’s only race this year as there’s a clash of dates on the 10th of June but we are looking still! Next year we will put one on for sure. Also, the good news is that Hertfordshire are now (…

Also, CAKE please...
-
After a few short hours of trauma today where there was a distinct possibility that the race would have to be cancelled/moved to Elmdon I’ve managed to make sure that it will most definitely be on the Kingston circuit, so everything will run as pla…

That’s a very personal question Matthew, but anything you can get a cable tie round and will hold a sign that’s around 4ftx2ft big up in the wind would suffice.
-
Also does anybody have any gardening stakes/fencing posts that we could borrow to hold the signs up? I will probably need no more than 40 and they need to be around 4-5ft long. So if everybody who’s volunteering could bring 2 each....... If anybo…

Just dropped you a message. Ta

I FORGOT TO ASK FOR CAKE! Who’s bringing cake? We need lots of it...
-
Hi Steve, might take you up on this if that’s ok! Does it connect to an iPad or do I need a little dongle?

Edit ***medium please*** keep forgetting what happens to my midriff when I don’t race... Go on, stick “Race Organiser” on the back for future use...
