A True Legend
Hi Everyone,
Some of you may have already heard that a true Ultra Cycling legend Jure Robic was killed last Friday whilst out on a training ride. I had the privilege of racing against this amazing gentle human being who I'm lucky to have known as a friend.
He won Race Across America 5 times along with 150 podiums of which he won 100 of those races!
He sadly leaves behind a wife and his young son Nal.
Here's an article that was written a few years ago but give a great insight into what it takes to not only race solo in Raam but be able to win it 5 times.
Our lives are fragile and this tragic loss brings it home.
Be safe out there my fellow club members.
With love and energy.
Jim

One tough amazing guy. The article is quite scary- but remarkable
And to think I postpone rides because it might rain!
See you tomorrow- nearly said weather permitting. Like you say , its about mind-set
Take care
