Proper lights

I need some proper headlights to allow me to commute in and out of London before it's fully light and after it has started to get dark. Can anyone recommend a model (I'd like to keep cost to about £100) and does anyone know how many lumens will do to ride some of those darker lanes?

I have an older model of one of these after a mate recommeded it to me and its been great. The current ones come with a USB charging lead which may be handy.
