Saturday 29th January 9.30am ride

edited January 2011 in Club runs
Looks like its going to be a bit of a chilly one on Saturday, so I thought we could do a ride of two halves:

First 9 (ish) pretty flat and then some nice hillocks to warm us up !

Also if anybody would like to do a short one there is the option for a 12 mile loop if you peel off at Litlington.

Cheers,

  • Twelve of us out on what was a pretty cold morning. Nice flat warmup around Guilden/Shingay before we hit the hills over the back of Royston.

Permafrost seemed to have hit this part of Hertfordshire and there were a few hairy moments on patches of ice on the route, but luckily no fallers !

As tradition dictates there was a sprint down the Wallington road to the 505 and try as we might we couldn't beat Bob in the race to the sign - how does he do it !!

    Good ride had by all,

  • mass and inertia Dave...plus he is sneaky and lulls you all into believing he can't do it anymore....
  • Thanks for a good first ride with the club. I'm still not sure how I managed to stay upright on the ice! Cheers, Matt
