Wednesday 09:33 ride 2nd Feb

Chris and I turned up a whopping 3 minutes late to find the ride had left without us. We headed out to Langford, Old Warden, EVerton etc for 40 odd miles, at 16's. 50 miles by the time I got home. Sunny but a strong cold wind. Clearly we didnt mutter or complain at all about the turncoats that abandoned us.

Apparently there was a 09:28 ride today as well. Think they went down to Watton/Knebworth area but will leave them to comment. Did hear something about a 30 minute delay for a mechanical requiring wd40 from a local garage. Divine retribution for not waiting for their mates maybe, if you believe in that sort of thing?!

    whoa there fellas.....10 out today..we left after 9.30 by Ashwell clock....Bob didn't come out to play..was waiting for a delivery or summat......sorry you were LATE....I had to get back before 12 so turned round at Watton...others went on to Knebworth and environs...see you next week but do try to be on time

    clear signs of guilt there geoff, so we'll accept that as an apology.
    actually was just trying to stir things up on the forum as its been a bit dull lately.
    shared a very amicable coffee with the "punctual" group at the end of the ride,
    and it didnt take the drivers long to sort out their wipers...
