Team ashwell youth team finished 2'nd today at danbury outdoor, with a joint effort from Mitch, Fiona, Cameron and me (Theo). The course was great with a lot of bends in woodland areas. I came third and Cameron came 4th despite being started 30-40 seconds behind me, Mitch was postponed due to a mechanical but carried, not sure were he and Fiona came but it was enough to be 9 points ahead of the 3rd team. well done to Stevey, she well in her race and came 4th in the easte cross league. thank you to Mark for lending the bikes and thank you Stuart for the lift.

I can't praise you 4 enough and to Mark for encouraging you and doing all that work on cross each wednesday.....well done...be proud and let's hope it encourages more to enter events

It was a great effort by the team and they were mixing it with some very experienced riders. Theo modestly didn't mention the shiny medals the team won. Full results at www.easterncross.org.uk.

Well, that's the end of the season. So the planning starts for next season. I have bid for Saturday 1st Oct for our event at Knights Templar.

If anyone is thinking of giving 'cross a go next season then look for a bike now. They will be much cheaper on ebay/in listings now rather than in the summer when everyone thinks of getting a bike. They can get very hard to get hold of later in the year.
