Welcome to the forum
Wednesday Time Trials.
we really need 5 volunteers who will between them look after 1 months TT each..i.e. time/and generally guarantee to be there each week of their period.
If not I can't see it happening this year.
Please let me know quickly if you wish to help

I'll help out, but can only do every other week with my shift pattern. I don't mind doing a good chunk of them if some others take up the slack.
Angus
John and Angus...many thanks...I also Knoe Ian and Jayne Clarke were offering.....Bob swain as well....Perhaps you could all e.mail eachother separately and see whether you can come up with a roster....I will persevere with clearance.
have we tried phoning the local CTT chap, is it David Ledgerton?
as it's only a local club 10 it shouldn't have any obstacles
I am happy to time-keep until mid June, all we need is a 2nd time-keeper, either myself or Andy Bartlett can train them
I understand that the police just need to be told and that the 6 weeks notice is a CTT recommendation rather than law
I stand by what I've said and can do alternate weeks throughout if needed. My shifts will allow for May 14th, 28th, june 11th (my birhtday!) onward if you see what I mean? On holiday 14-28th June though. If you want to do some sort of rota with the others Geoff mentioned then I'll stick to it.
My understanding from Martin at Bedford Road and from reading the CTT website is that we should have submitted the appropriate forms for the event to CTT at least 42 days before the start and that we should have informed all three police forces which this event covers at least 28 days before the start.
The bottom line is someone needs to sort this paperwork out, which is available on the CTT website. 42 days puts us well into July with a shed load of phoning and paperwork to be done.
I think this is a worthwhile event for the club but is anyone willing to take on the work?
Richard
I have a call out to David Ledgerton and am hoping for a positive response.
Keep talking to eachother and come up with a workable roster guys
Richard, yes - I am willing...I will timekeep the first 4-6 events, maybe more, Angus said he would also...(and we are only 2nd claim members) just think what help we can get from others who are 1st claim Ashwell members.
my own club is turning riders away because of day light, once they get to 40 riders.
It is a littlew worrying, if we cannot organise a club 10, what chance we have for other stuff...but maybe the club just wants to get the GoRide stuff moving...I've offered to help in that too!!
