CCA Membership 2011-12 - overdue - PLEASE PAY TODAY

Hi All,

Yes, sorry its that time of year again. The good news is that subs remain the same (£25 1st claim, £15 2nd claim, £5 youth).
All details are on the website under membership.
Please send cheques, made out to Cycle Club Ashwell to our membership secretary, David Jones. Davids address can be found on the membership form on the website. Cheques or cash can also be handed to any committe member at pub night etc.
Also please write names on the back of the cheque.

Subs are due on 1st April and there follows a 1 month period of grace after which your membership and your 3rd party insurance will be deemed to have lapsed.
Please help us to keep admin to a minimum by paying on time.

Also, advanced warning that the club AGM will be on 6th May in the Tuns at 8.00PM. More details later.

    Re on-line payments, this would be a step forward for Barclay's that closes most of its branches on Saturday when people tend to go shopping and need money. On-line transactions may nevertheless happen in the not too distant future as there is a move to do away with cheques by 2018.

    Re subs - if you are sending a single cheque for adult plus youth subs, would you please be kind enough to enter the cash split on the back of the cheque. This should make it easier to get the adult and youth subs into the right accounts, as these are different accounts. I am familiar with the split re many family subs, but there are so many new members that it will take time to get to know all the changes. Thanks.

    I have one sub for next year already - could this be a record year?

    Can you clarify how many the annual subs for youth riders will be...?

    Hi Stewart........as I mailed,,,the Club can accept Youth riders who don't take any part in the go-Ride or track activities...these only pay £5...the club cannot subsidise the number of youth in the club for insurance and therefore we suggest they join British Cycling. They have a new promotion aimed at the young called the Hub....worth checking as it gives reduced cost of membership and the racing licence is free.
    I reality, most youth join CCA youth section to take part in all activities and as we open our grass track later in the year they will need to join as full youth section members anyway.

    so...those who join BEFORE the end of MAY only pay £50 all-in. After May it will be £55....we offer this small incentive as we need the membership money in ordr to cover ground hire costs and in running events like Biggleswade Grass Track
