In association with the charity Teach Africa, we are pleased to announce the first running of the Hitchin Nomads Anniversary Sportive which combines a relaxed village start, well stocked feedstation, stunning scenery, free refreshments with a testing 80k ride - what could be better.
Key features of the race:-
· Starts 09.30 - 10.00 on 12th June, 2011
Registration from 08.00 at Steeple Morden Village Hall, Hay Street, Steeple Morden, Nr. Royston, SG8 0PE
Well marked Route
The Check Point/Feed stations approximately will have water, sports drink, jelly babies and the famous Go Beyond fruit cake.
Certificates and T Shirts for all finishers
Entry Fee £20.00

Spoke to Tim D about this event last week.
What's people's thought on getting some of the youth riders to enter this event and raise some sponsorship money through their friends and family to put towards the youth section.
I'm sure some of the older boys, if they're not racing, could do the distance easily. For others it would be a bit more of a challenge, but I'm sure something worthwhile doing, and maybe get some of their parents out riding with them.
It's on the doorstep so seems a shame to pass up the opportunity.
