Great evening at the bowl. One other CC Ashwell rider out Dave in the white numbers (Fast). I in the yellow (slow) numbers 3/4.

Course anticlockwise out of bottom gate, up the slope through car park rejoin top gate round circuit. I like this course but prefer to ride it clockwise. My race was great fun with lots of mini breaks. Average speed 25.3 mph 27 miles covered. Did sprint for the line but no where near a place. However must be getting fitter as I got up stairs to bed unadded!

Dave had been out to a BBQ in the sun all afternoon, sounded like a challenging diet of burgers and red bull. His race didnt go as planned, burgers and redbull kicked in after a few laps.

Got to say it was great to be back at the Bowl, great fun evenings racing had....anyone else for next week? (oops next race 5th May)
  • Well in Tim-cant believe many 'slow' numbers (ha!) got more or speed than you mate!

as for Dave- what do you expect from bloody students- he got about 6 months off now- so i reckon he might post some times, or even finish one!!

    jokin Davie Boy!
  • No race this week.

Next one on the 5th of may at 7pm.

    Sign on the line.

    Thursday 5th May
    Racing tonight MK Bowl
Sign on the line, Starts at 7pm get there for 6pm to 6.45pm to allow sign on, quick warm up.
I will be going, come on Ashwell.....
  • Wow, they ran my favourite circuit direction last night. Clockwise out through the top gate, then fast through car park service road, with fast technical corners (you have to be in the 1st 6 at this point or you have to brake and accelerate hard!) 30 miles at average 24.7mph.
2 broke with 5 laps to go (I missed this) The rest of the field then going for a bunch sprint up the rise. I fought hard for a position (breaking my fear of the bunch sprint yeeha) and may have nicked a place, just have to wait and see. Really good evening had, roll on next week. Come on Ashwell!

I rather like what Lance said....."Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90-percent chance or a 50-percent chance or a 1-percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight"
