Andy Morrison Memorial Road Race
Raced a 234, race at cranfield University today
Was a lone CC Ashwell rider (come on chaps)
Josh Richard and the Welwyn team were there, so someone to shout encouragement.
Course was a 2 mile triangle. One leg up hill, one flat and one very fast down. 18 laps to do. The hill leg was a mix of head wind and crosswind making positioning critical for a easier ride to the top.
Josh, certainly has a turn of pace now, easily moving through the field seemingly at will, however he unfortunatly punctured.
Unfortunatly I didnt so had to carry on , haha finish in the bunch chuffed not to finish last this time :-) must be getting better.
Roll on Mondays Vets Race.

A brilliant ride from Tim, who understates his achievements. This was a very short course with two of the legs seemingly down hill and very quick with a tail wind. The riders in the Welwyn Wheelers Junior Squad suffered due to gear restriction (52 x 14 being their top, as opposed to the seniors being able to typically select 53 x 11), but this shows how fast the field was moving!!
As Tim states Josh punctured as did one of the other squad members, leaving half the team to contend the finish.
Here are a couple of pics. of the morning, I'm sorry there are none of Tim H. He was too buried in the peleton!
