This results sheet is very impressive, especially as it is the first of the season. Naturally I am drawn to Theo and Cameron's time; which are impressive, but they are less than half way up the list! A scorcher from Junior Maynard. Very good to see George and Fiona racing.

yes some good times in there, esp when you compare to same time last year and a PB for me, yey. well it was my first ashwell 10, so it couldn't be anything but could it !!

just out of interest, were the top placed riders all on TT machines?

I rode my normal road bike with clip on TT bars and Mark C had his normal road bike (good effort that man)

Of the riders above you, all were on lo-pro`s except Julian Pegg and Jez Ross who were both on standard road bikes with no tri bars. Very impressive from those two.

Lee if you get to 25 mins on standard bike you are doing very well under 25 mins then as Tim D says impressively well :-) Being a fat old wheezy chap I had to cheat and get a TT bike, pointy helmet shoe covers etc to go under 25 mins on the Ashwell course. Something like 70% of the drag is the rider, so if you get low and aero you make a big difference to your speed. Probably worth 1minute to 1.30 on our course. Hope you don’t get a TT bike coz you will be beating me ...:-) haha
