SUNDAY 15TH ALL RIDES except the James special

Hoping for a reasonable patch of weather for tomorrow.....We will have a mix of abilities and some who raced today so suggest we agree routes and speeds depending on those who turn up......some will just want to spin their legs and some may want to push it....I am happy to take a 50-60 mile ride at 17-18 mph...if the majority prefer a shorter 16-17 mph ride then I can shift to take that.....maybe we can all do the same route with a cut off for those who want shorter...lets see what the weather does and then sort...we could even take a trip over to Cardington and cheer on MarkC hurting himself in preparation for Primavera glory :-)

Well, the weather held and 14 of us both club ride pace and faster riders all went off together......we chose to ride out to the Primavera race route and passed MarkC, Dave and Julian doing the ride....Trahern and some of the faster riders opted for Graffam Water 70 mile route and we all travelled together for another 15 to 20 miles at a good pace. 5 of us then turned off at an agreed point and made the return to Ashwell and averaged 52 miles at 17.5mph. The other 9 continued and picked up the pace...hope to have a report on their bit later. Jez had a puncture on his new bike and we all stopped for a ritual watering of t4rees and hedgerows
We were sorry not to meet the rest of the club for a chat but I see from the "Special" riders that they had a super time as well...good luck with the hand shake thingy :-)

We did a graham water type thing. I had 77 miles at 18.6. Just the job, and good to see Phil , jez, trahern and Iain looking very comfortable. Looking forward to seeing all the lads in next weekends race. Come on CCA!

yes thanks to trahern for a great route ,the pace was a bit hot last few miles but just about kept up.
into that wind for the last 10 miles nocked my ave down a fair bit finished with 87 miles @ 18.2.
