Welcome to the forum
Saturday 28th May 8.30 ride
After reading about Russell Downings 1033 mile week in training i think its time to up the miles. 1 week to the Chiltern 100 and 5 weeks to La Marmotte.
In anticaption and dread of these up and coming events i will be putting together a "training block" (sounds good to me anyway) starting tomorrow morning... finishing... probably quite soon.
South Westerly wind means heading out west to do the usual suspects. Hexton, Sundon, Sharpenhoe Clappers etc.
Looking for a distance of 70-80 setting off from the Three Tuns.
Hoping someone will turn up who knows the way properly!
A similar event has been sanctioned for Monday.

Do you know the way from Sundon over towards Dunstable and Ivinghoe Beacon?
Thought if we can get out that far then turn around and come back through Redbourn, Welwyn etc it should make for a good run home and maybe an M or two to finish us off...
See you in the morning
sorry never been out to ivinghoe but if any one else with a sat nav in their head turns up we can still head out that way .
i have been over to woburn / brickhill way a couple of times so i am sure we can find a route between us with hills at
hexton / clappers /sundon/brickhill/etc.
