Off road routes Royston

Hi All
I am relative new to the Royston area and I am keen to find some off road loops preferably starting in/near Royston. Can any one advise?

George if you go up Briery Lane (next road after Morrison going towards the Heath) just keep going up Briery Lane til the road runs out and then you are on track (nice hill) that will take you all the way up to Therfield where you will find numerous Bridle Paths. That is your best route out of Royston.
You can go down the Kneesworth Road and turn left onto the Icknield Way (Just after the Greenhouses - opposite side of the road) you can then follow the flatish Icknield Way all the way to Ashwell. HTH
