good session everyone....not as many as last week but we all enjoyed the track.....Nice to see Mark W there out of coaching mode mixing it...good ride Ollie...Jon was tired but still game after his various exploits this week...the session at Bournemouth on Thursday sounded hard......Now Jeremy has found a gear to suit him he is going well....see you all next week same time....think we are keeping quiet about our team sprint time though!!!
Im hoping to be there tomorrow with my new grass track iron, rust and all!! Anyone else up for it? About 9.30 ish? Maybe set some new times for the container door scoreboard.
Yes - as it stands; me, Dave R and Jez hold the 3-man sprint grass track record - emblazoned on the inside of the container door. I'm sure it's the only record of athletic ability I've ever had in my life. I wonder when it'll be broken...
I can't make it tomorrow - but urge all members to have a go - great fun and an ideal way to gain confidence riding fixed-wheel too [it's better to fall on grass!].
It is fine ....that track dries off very quickly......rain stopped 8.45....always worth a punt...the grass track tyres work when track is damp....I will be there..........It's best to ring here and ask about weather or just come on the chance it will be o.k............looks like people looking for an excuse :-)
sorry to hear that Bryn........if you are riding tomorrow I can have your shirt there for the start.......was good guys....track dried off and was running smooth and fast.....no rain and sun at end..warm too.........try and remember that we are on chalk..the track drains super fast..within an hour of a real downpour the track will be fine.....see you next week regardless of forecast eh?
thanks geoff, but I've not eaten much so I think I'd struggle on any kind of a decent ride. I'll just do a spin by myself. I'll pick up the jersey on Thursday evening, if that's ok? (unless there was a way it could get to the TT on Wednesday, which I hope to attend?)

what are you like stirrer :-).....all good....rain has to stop for track to dry....think there's a difference between damp and hissing wet...we still had 6 you soft scouser...see you tomorrow
Ill be there again in the morning from 9.30. For all you grown ups who were at the track meet last night and thought "that looks like fun" , come and have a go. There won't be too many more chances now. Its all very low key, just a bit of fun.
Might be just the tonic after a long wells ride the day before?

See my post in the General Section. ;)
Good results for CCA at the Team Welwyn event today - and an announcement was made about the innaugural CCA grass track event.
