17 I think turned out at 9am. Chris headed towards Saffron Walden with the Steady group. I went with a rather youthful 8 including Daniel *ahem* and Theo, Cam, Jon, Josh, Bryn and Ash Cox jumped onboard too - nice to see him around now it's the end of season [something like just 3 weeks he said?!]. Did an scenic 60 - never going too far. Nice out - not quite Autumn yet. 60 miles @ 18mph.

I wonder how things are going in Belgium..? I hope the guys bumped into cousin Johan out there - he's a beltin' organist.

a great turn out and lovely day too!

we went to Saffron over the lumps and bumps, stopped at Audley House and clocked up 45 miles at just under 16mph

john ground it out on his new fixed, jane, our only girl out, dug in and rode well, and dan m bent my ears and recited mock the week word for word for three hours!

good stuff!

great ride Chris - thanks for being so tolerant on the long downhills... hamster speed legs not arrived yet

I most enjoyed the way Essex council mock the poor relatives in Herts by putting down the most perfect tarmac roads - made me wish I had a few more gears!
