8 set out today in great conditions - considering. Carmelo led us on a route that was likely to be on decent quality roads - and it went really well. Good calling out, awareness and sensibility throughout the group. Shingay, Croydon Hill, Gamlingay, Longstowe, Toft, Barley, Haslingfield, Foxton, up the hills to Barkway, Hare Street, Buntingford and then A507 to Baldock - as the minor roads were looking a bit iffy. I peeled off thru Rushden - as Ash, Alex, Carmelo were cranking it up for the last 10 [racing is mere weeks away]. I clocked 59 miles, 17.5mph.
