Regional Championships Gloucester

I represented CC Ashwell in the Central and Wessex regional championships today. My name didn't appear on the start sheet therefore I was told to get on the back row, however soon realising that I should be at the front I got moved. The course was not at all 'challenging' rather a road race on grass. The race started off fast with Harvey Lowe of Hargroves cycles getting a small early lead, I soon caught Harvey and got away from the rest of the bunch. I had around a quarter of a lap lead when the inevitable happened (puncture just after passing the pits) I had to do a whole lap with a puncture meaning getting caught and being left in around 7th place. I soon put down the pressure and caught the man in second, I stayed with him and ended up getting 3rd. I discovered that these boys were from the Wessex region meaning that I am the Central England cyclocross champion. Disappointed with the result however good news about being the first central rider.
