Beds Road Reliability Rides

edited February 2012 in Club runs
Hi Folks,

Just passing on this from Beds Road.....

Morning,

I e-mailed a few weeks ago with details of Beds Road CC reliability rides, for you to pass on to your members. Unfortunately due to snow the first ride had to be postponed, however, the second ride will go ahead as planned this coming Sunday (19th).

If possible please can you pass this information on to your club members who may be planning to ride - in case they've already printed out routesheets, or downloaded the GPS files. We've had to change the routes due to the bridge at Gt Barford being closed. Both long and short routes are slightly shorter than originally planned, but are probably tougher rides. the routes are below

Short route (46 miles)

Link for the TCX if you use those http://ridewithgps.com/routes/942457.tcx

Long route (64 miles)

Many Thanks,

  • anyone planning on doing this (long route)??

    weather looks okay'ish!

time for the first "blue train" of the season??
  • Would love to but have an airport run sunday morning....Doh. This was good fun last year, highly recomended to all.
  • I fancy this.... Is it a 'race'? As I am not sure I am ready for that just yet!!

Where is the start point/time etc??
  • If the blue train is there; I'm in. 9am start/meet, what say you all.......lets do this!
  • I'm in as i can't make Saturday's ride due to Dad duties.
  • I will be there for 9
  • i will be there for a 9am depart from BRCC Clubhouse
  • Good Ashwell turn out, nasty boyz did us proud! I think Carmelo said average speed 19's ... They spat me out at Hexton! I managed 18.5 av. Poor old Trahern had a broken chain :-(
  • 19.7 to be precise.....so sorry for Trahern! ....Quite cold early on but sunny..Jason,Jez and myself managed to stay in that fast group which thinned out as ride progressed...Jez rode with ease and was on the front a lot....well done to all...
  • good to see so many out, I was first back and well pleased with my form at the moment! thanks to you guys for letting me tag along this winter :-)
  • Saw you guys set off as I arrived, but the pace would have way to hot for me. I seemed to be have been a vacuum the way round as other than getting past by some guys from Luton coming out of Hexton I did not see any other riders until the last 3 miles.

A good day, but would have better without the breeze.
