1st of the Season
After what was a good 2011 season for me, I was hoping to get in some earlier events this year. Unfortunately last week's was postponed late on because of roadworks but I completed the 1st of the season on Sunday.
An 11.3 mile circuit from Cardington through Old Warden, Northill, Cople and back to Cardington. A light NW wind made the climb up Hillfoot relatively painless but the drag up from Northill was a struggle. Pleased with a 31:18. Maybe next time I'll put it in the big ring
Whilst on the start line I was asked if any one of our club had left a yellow top/jacket at the Beds Road clubhouse as they seem to have one left over.
The Nomads are holding their 2up 25m TT this Saturday. Anyone fancy putting a number on their back and partnering me? If you can do a mid to long 27 for a SPOCO 10 you're in the right ballpark for me.
I think start is 08:30 so need to be in Southill for 8ish. Let me know.
