WELWYN TRACK INDUCTION SESSIONS APRIL
Here it is everyone.....confirmation of time and requirements
'Track induction' for riders wishing to attend Monday night track training
and Friday track League will be run on Saturday mornings.
First session is April 4th - 09.00 to 11.15am
Costs - £3 adults, £2 youth riders plus £2 bike hire (if required)
Track bikes have either Look or Look keo pedals or clips/straps. Changing to
use 'own pedals' is not an option.
Riders should bring helmet, gloves and warm clothes.
Sessions will be run weekly including April 11
I have mailed some adult members of the club who might also be interested in racing there. PLEASE NOTE......Only by doing these induction courses will you be allowed to compete as safety is paramount in this arena ...you need to be accredited by the Welwyn Coaches BEFORE they let you into the fray of competition..........ALSO, it is a very good idea anyway to learn track etiquette.
Those who have been to Manchester and Newport with me and have done grass track in Ashwell have a head start.BUT the tarmac track has a different set of conditions which need to be understood.
I have set-up some club bikes for those who are first to respond........I will have some more club bikes there for Saturday.......those who are last there may have to hire bikes.
Adults without their own bikes please note...you will have to hire.
I look forward to seeing many of you there............
NOTE.........this will take place in APRIL.........our youth rides on Saturday will continue on Saturdays AFTER these Welwyn sessions .
Go-Ride and Thursday Grass Track begin again on 7th May 5.30-7.30pm...............
