Bob Whitear Memorial Road race
Today's weather was perfect for the Bob Whitear RR held approximatly 7 miles from Great Yarmouth. The course was a mildly rolling 8.3 mile circuit and the race took place over 10 laps giving a total milage of 83.
Joshua Maynard and Jezz Ross worked well together throughout the race with the field consisting of club riders and UK Domestic Teams. Unfortunatly Jezz cramped on the penultimate lap and had to retire but by this time he and Joshua with five others had closed a three minute gap to a break away group of seven and this group became the race for the points.
On the gallop to the finish Joshua positioned well and finished fifth. This being a National B/Band 2 race the winner Olli Rossi got 60 ranking points with Joshua gaining 35.
