12 out today for a very pleasant Club Run. We did a 2 Bridges route with a lap of the Primavera course thrown in, mainly because I didn't know the circuit and I'm helping to put the signs out on Sunday morning!

Everyone stayed together for the whole ride, which averaged 17.4 mph for 45 miles. Thanks to the stronger riders who did big stints on the front, you kept the pace just right for everyone.

If only all Club Runs were like this!!

    I second that.

For me it was a fast, close group. I had a fantastic ride and it was the perfect way to christen my new bike, which I love already! Still smiling now

    Thanks everyone
  • A genuine Club Run, after what seems like a 'tricky' Sunday Club Run, which got a bit Lionel Messi, by all accounts!

All kept together, in keeping with Club Run etiquette- nobody dropped and nobody left behind!

We possibly need the 'Inbetwweners' ride on Sunday we have often talked about, as we have a massive range of abilities and aims for our rides these days

Or, those quicker boys on the Club Run, take the plunge and mix it up with the 'Nasties'!!

Fun and enjoyment is the aim (for most of us!!)

We will all be supporting, or marshalling the Club showpiece Primavera this Sunday (surely!?), so the week after, let's get a good Club Run on!!!
  • Enjoyed the Wednesday run today. As you say just about the right pace.

    Liking the new bike, Jane!

Good point Chris about a Sunday Inbetweeners ride. The Nasties club run was a bit nasty, we averaged nearly 20mph which was faster than I wanted that day. Saying that, it was good fun and we all stayed together until the Col de Langford. We even waited for Robbie when he shipped his chain around Maulden!
  • Lovely run for me, just the right speed and distance. Wheels don't seem to have been affected by running over that lump of concrete. Will sort my pump out for next time. Finished the day off with some commuting to the station and riding around around London for a day's total of about 70 miles, ending up with nearly crashing into a badger family on a footpath around 11pm (following a few glasses of wine over dinner)...
