Not usually a 9.00 ride, sometimes, the faster boys go out at 8.00. I think that's mostly stopped now the season is in full swing (Races, Sportives, audax, grasstrack etc).
Otherwise, everyone meets in the 3 Tuns CP for a 9.30 ride - I'm not sure how many will be out tomorrow as many Saturday regulars are riding the Chiltern sportive on Sunday.
I'm planning on riding to Ashwell for 9.30, hopefully some others will be out in the sun.
Yep, you are right. There are a fair few of us Saturday riders doing the chiltern 100 on Sunday so a rest day for me (and probably all of the other chaps and ladies) tomorrow.
Good ride today, have got rather lovely tan lines :0)
Thanks to Richard for the tea and coffee - might take you up on that offer to show me how to tune gears as mine were shocking on the way home!!! Can't just be because they are 'cheap' can it??
No problem. I had a great ride, it was nice to be able to get out with the club instead of riding on mine own.
On gear, whilst there is a noticable difference between the top and botton of all ranges it should be possible to tune them to work. It's just a question of when you can get round. Probably after a club ride but I'm quite often away with the kids, racing.
Drop me a line at richard@ccashwell.com and we can sort this out.
If anyone else would like this input, drop me a line and perhaps me and Tim D. could run a session.
Whilst this thread was not originally on the subject of setting up gears I too would be interested in a session on that and any other recommended maintenance the could be included.

Tim are you up for this?
cheers

I would be interested in "general" bike maintenance sessions.
Susan
I'd like to join you for how to keep gears sweet
General advice on maintaining my new (and gorgeous - did I mention that already?) bike would be appreciated too
