Ribble Bikes

edited July 2012 in General
Hi,

I want to get a nice lightweight carbon bike for the 'summer' and also to take to France next year.

Been trawling around the web and discovered Ribble bikes and their bike building 'tool'.

Really like the look of the Grand Fondo carbon bike, but don't really know a lot about the brand.

Worth looking at? Or stay well away?

I'm thinking exactly the same yesterday and was having a good look on the web to read up on them. A quote that seemed to sum them up was they're the Hyundai of the bike world, very well specced and great value but not a BMW or Audi. It depends if that matters to you.

Also it could be a few weeks for them to build it and get it to you, and i can imagine with the current big interest in cycling this might get longer and longer.
  • Ribble have been around,a long time. Ive had a few, absolutely fine, good value, little panache just like Pearce says above. They used to have a poor reputation regarding delivery times, i dont know what the situation with bikes is now but i use them a lot for parts and they are very good. The recent crop of carbon frames do very well in the press as well.
