Wow!

Well i never thought i would see it my lifetime. From the days i starting watching cycling with the likes of Robert Millar and Pedro Delgardo it was very much a foreign sport. Then watching Lemond, Indurain and some trailblazing Brits like Yates and Boardman it was inspiring but was never going to be something we could win. Through the darker times of Pantani, Ulrich and Armstrong and now here we are with a british 1, 2. 6 stages and the world champ winning in Paris.

Bradley Wiggins wins the Tour, imagine that.

  • What a GREAT tour for the Whole Team SKY and British Cycling.................
  • ........... the way the yellow jersey lead the team out for the sprint - did you see how easy wiggo went past the others to put cav and EBH on to the launch pad = awesome!!!
  • An amazing team effort all tour. What sky have achieved getting the best people behind the best riders shows you can do anything if you put the effort in. Wiggo amazing, Froome immense, Cav faaast

Agree, absolutley amazing performance by the Brits at the Tour. 7 British wins if you add David Millar's, all by members of the Olympic Road Race Team.

Fingers crossed for them next week and I hope they let Chris Froome lead Sky in La Vuelta and that he's got something left in his legs!
  • Time to start growing those Wiggo go faster sideburns in recognition!

I'm quite tempted to shave off my beard, just leaving the 'Brad Burns', thus getting a head start on many others!
They obviously give a great aerodynamic advantage on the bike!
  • The hairs straighten out the air flow around your head, thus minimising any drag caused by your ears. This is what I have heard, anyway.
  • yes indeedy, and I saw Wiggo riding in the flesh, once at the finish in Luchon on Weds and then again on the Port de Bales on Thursday in glorious slo-mo.
