Sunday 26th club run
Nine of us set out this morning on a Geoff G magical mystery tour of Cambridgeshire. We headed out towards Barrington for a sprint to the top of chapel hill (almost caught you Tim!) and then on towards Barton and the fens. After another Tim induced sprint, Strappy and Skelders left us at the end of long road Comberton and headed back to Ashwell, while the rest of us continued out towards the Fens. The mystery tour continued north of the A14 through the villages of Willingham, Over and Swavsey in a weaving route which left some of us considering if Geoff really knew where he was !
After a quick stop in Knapwell to tend to Gavin's slowly deflating tyre we continued onto Bourn and more familiar territory. Down in to Gamlingay after avoiding the very low flying planes of the Gransden Airshow the pace picked up with some final king of the mountains points to the trig point at the top of Sutton Hill and then a full gas sprint down Northfields. Jane and Gino almost made it, but were just piped on the post by a charging Geoff and Emma.
Great route and good company. Final stats were 60miles at 17avg. Here is the route if anybody fancies giving it a go http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/129222633
Cheers

Strappy and I headed off into the wind and kept a fairy brisk pace - or at least I thought so but Strappy looked like he was cooling down ;-) hopefully will be back to a bit more regularity now the old shoulder seems to be holding up !!
PS - didn't get lost either Geoff ;-)
Cheers for the route was nice to get back on the bike for a decent ride , i was still feeling a bit weak as was proved when i was left standing when every one chased after skelders should be back to normal in a week or so .
