Another 70-80m ride.

If it was my route last week maybe it's someone else's this week. Or we could do: Chisell, Duxford, Haslingfield, Everton, Langford. Hilly front half with Many turn offs.

Or do we go into the unknown with a Shaun mystery tour?

  • Weather's looking excellent. W to NW wind?

Did this one in the summer. Not exactly unknown, but with a less used loop beyond Gt Barford:
Langford, Cardington, Gt Barford, Renhold, Milton Ernest, Odell (cafe, if required), Sharnbrook, Risley, Bolnhurst, Upper Staploe, Gt Barford and home (via Tempsford or Moggerhanger/Langford).

    About 75/80m. Quite fast.

Perfect sunny day for the four of us.
Kept up the early pace throughout with thro and offs, averaging a comfortable 19mph for 76m.
Still Everton hill got the heart rate up on the way home.
Good route Shaun and back before lunchtime.

Early Saturday rides are back and very soon the fixed wheels will be out.
  • Yes, a great morning. About ready now to go back to a more comfortable 17mph for the autumn/winter. It's been a long summer...
  • And no, I will not be wanting to borrow your other fixed bike, Robbie :)
  • Shame I missed this saturday's ride... I took the afternoon off work especially to get out in the morning for this ride. Unfortunately struck down with man flu at the last minute on friday evening so have spent the whole weekend in bed, still yet to regain vocal ability.

Is that it for the carbon then? Shaun, I have a tyre boot here for you! I'll bring it along next week, if I'm still alive...
  • Back before lunchtime though is a nice thing to read ^ :)
