Today could only be described in one word - epic! Not epic in terms of distance or indeed speed, but just the stupid number of punctures that we all got! It was as if the flint fairy had been out all last night, lightly dusting the road with sharp bits of flint the went through the toughest of tyres!

To be fair, we should have realised this was the case when we got the first one after navigating two miles of a semi-submerged Northfields road and also that it probably wasn't the day for the mudguard less summer bike.

Still at least when we did (frequently) stop it was warm and sunny!!

Thanks to Vic and TomH for steering us round the lands on the other side of the A428. Final stats were 40 miles @16mph and SEVEN punctures!!!

P.S. maybe stick on some winter tyres if you are out tomorrow !
