Finchley RT GP de Gentlemen 25 mile 2 up ttt 29th sep
Just thought I'd mention that Jason Stuart and I rode this event on a very windy afternoon on 29th Sep to record a fairly respectable 56.58 round the Guilden Morden course(club 25 course).....it was tough and cold but we rode well together especially as I still had 480 miles and 37,000 feet of climbing of the Raid Pyrenean in my legs...unfortunately we were just out of the money and podium in 4th place and quite a way from the winners Trevor Burke and Andy Hastings in 52.49 which was expected as they have had an exceptional season...
Nevertheless well done Jason and I believe we have established another club record Tim......... for now!
BTW...saw Ash Cox's time of 1 lap around there a couple of weeks earlier...24.17!! Blimey..that's nearly 30 mph avg..only a tenth away from Michael Hutchinson's time....whoooosh!! Ash says he is going to do a few more TT's next season...looking forward to some amazing times...
