ERRL IMPORTANT! WHO WANTS TO BE A COMMISSAIRE?

edited October 2012 in Road Racing
As some of you are aware our club belongs to the EASTERN ROAD RACE LEAGUE and the race I organise is part of that league.

To be part of that league the requirement was that you had to organise a road race ...

They NOW also want a member to be either a Road or Track Commissaire or a credited marshall..

SO..we need a volunteer to take a course for one of these posts please...

They hold local courses and it is paid for ...

Looking at where we are re Grass Track etc it seems that a Track Commissaire in the club would be a good idea..

Please let me know if anyone is up for this..

It is important as we may lose our affiliation to ERRL if we don't which would mean there would not be many road races to get in to in the area..

  • Not a sausage from anyone!
  • Just to be clear.... I am NOT volunteering!

But thought it might help if people understand what sort of commitment this involves?

ie how often each year would you have to commissaire at a race/track event , and how far away might these events be?
Same questions for the accredited marshall

I would imagine the course would be very interesting and worthwhile, but its probably the commitment people are wary of...

Sausages... Anyway i thought you didnt eat meat?
  • Linda McCartney veggie sausages. ..mmmm..

    Yes I'll get more info...
