Sandon to Buntingford road - puncture alley

Ahoy me hearties
I would avoid this road - its a mess
flooding means gravel and flints everywhere
5 punctures across 3 riders in the space of 5 miles
there are some places even a pirate will not go

    Would it be useful to have a 'bad roads' thread to highlights any problems like this? Not sure if it would work, but any kind of info like this would be helpful i guess.

    However seeing as i ended up trying to negotiate a flooded ford yesterday, I will probably stick to B Roads for now.

    I'd say that most roads were bad roads this weekend !

    But one to definitely avoid is the Therfield/Kelshall/Sandon road which was basically a muddy stream/pond.

    Did i see your name down for the End of Summer ride next sunday ? the roads towards the end of the route near Shepreth/Sandon etc are pretty bad, I have done the route itself quite a lot over the last few weeks and there not getting any better....

    My TT season has now come to an end so now its just about lots of base miles, sundays ride is more of a sociable ride with friends.... :-) The route is quite a nice one but some of the roads are really bad, sunday should be interesting........
