Annual CCA Awards Dinner
This year the annual awards dinner will take place after Christmas, so that more people will be able to attend and it will be better value for money.
There will be a three course meal, followed by awards and presentations - we have a growing list of club trophies and achievements to recognise. The bar will be open all night of course. Partners/other halves are of course welcome as always. Its always a great night and a chance to repay your loved one for all the time you spend dressed in lycra and talking about bikes - they get to spend the evening dressed in casual clothes talking about bikes.
The venue this year will be The Orange Tree in Baldock, and the date is Saturday 26th January 2013. The cost for the three course meal is a very reasonable £20/head.
Places will be limited, to book your place just get a cheque for £20/head made payable to Cycle Club Ashwell to any committee member - me, Tim D, James D, David J, Mark B, Chris S, Martin L or Geoff G.
Alternatively if you want to stick a cheque in the post email me at stef@ccashwell.com and I'll let you know the address.
Hope to see you there!

Ill send out a reminder in a few weeks.
Ta
Cheers.
Also if you have a trophy to hand back you can leave with one of us and we'll get it to Tim.
The following awesome people will be getting an annual award; Cameron Woolsey, Jackie Field, Carmelo Luggeri, Nigel Hale, Theo Doncaster, Shaun Bonney, Jon Chapman, Tim Skelding, Emma Koppe, Richard Glover, Andrew Leverton.
In addition, the following equally awesome people need to accept a winners medal; James Fraser, Oliver Woolsey, Jon Chapman, Jackie Field, Julian Pegg, Ed Goater, Cameron Woolsey, Craig Dyce, Henry Skelding, Anneka Goater, Noah Field, Helena Dyce, Monty Williams, Sophie Lewis.
As there are some younger members collecting medals, we will probably present the winners medals at the beginning of the evening in case they need to leave early, however everyone will be welcome to stay as long as they wish.
Don't forget, we need your cheques and with all these winners places will be limited. First come, first served.
Anyone else who wants to come and hasnt done so yet please let a member of the committee know, thanks.
We will meet at the Orange tree at 7.30 and will present the medals at 8.00 for those that are not staying. The dinner will then be from about 8.30 during which we can attempt the quiz and the trophy presentation will be afterwards.
Im waiting for the landlord to email me the menus but basically it will be roast dinners with a vegetarian option and i think a cod bake. will keep you updated on that.
The landlord is also reasonably relaxed about numbers so if you want to come you can and can pay on the night. Just let Stef know as soon as possible so we have a rough idea of numbers.
Somebody was asking me if it was just for prize winners, so just to be clear this is open to everyone and is one of the few times we can all meet up without the lycra. Look forward to seeing you all there.
That would be most useful ta.

Stef, I have sent over menu choices ..... Probably too late now though.... See you all in a few hours time!!!
A massive 'Thank You' for my award. I did actually have a bit of a speach planned but knew at the time i would get all emotional so thought it better to duck out. Needless to say I have seen (and am proud to say, been part of) CCA's growth and all the words from Stef early on are just so right. It is a friendly, supportive and active club that I have always been proud to be part of.
2012 was an 'interesting' year for me but a superb year for cycling! I wont bother listing all the amazing things British Cylcing have achieved as you all know them well but hopefully it will continue into 2013... (if only Geraint could have held on on that climb heh?). So thank you again, I am really proud to receive the award and truly appreciate it.
Onwards and upwards and hope to see you on the road soon... albeit a bit heavier :-}
