With just one event remaining CC Ashwell is lying in an astonishing third place overall in the Eastern Cyclocross League, ahead of the strongest clubs in the region. It's a real achievement for CC Ashwell.

However, West Suffolk Wheelers closed the gap at Snetterton last weekend and is now just four points behind CCA. The war drums on their forum talk of making an all-out effort in the final event to overtake CCA and claim the bronze-medal position...

Our cyclocross racers have put in tremendous effort during training & racing throughout the season, from Under 8s right through to veterans. They'll all need to give their absolute best to finish in high individual positions at the final event in Bury St Edmunds (Saturday 19th January) if CC Ashwell is to hold off West Suffolk Wheelers, so we wish them the best of luck.

P.S. If any of our super-juniors (e.g. Theo, Cameron, Jon, Bryn) is available to race then that would definitely increase our chances! :)

    That is a fantastic achievement, you should all be very pleased with yourselves, great stuff.

    Sadly im not around on the 19th ( not that id help much) and i suspect the super juniors have gone all tarmack, but best of luck for the final event.
