Are we a member of both London North DC and ECCA?

edited February 2013 in General
Is it correct CCA is a member of both districts?

Does this affect my participation in events for both districts, I can enter events from both equally?

Thanks.

  • Cycling Time Trials is the governing body for most UK time trialling (including our CCA club events). It divides the country into regionally-based districts within which clubs are registered. Time trial course codes reflect these districts, and London North's courses all begin with "F". CCA belongs to London North DC. Anyone who belongs to a CTT registered club can enter any fully "open" event in any district in the UK - i.e. a member of CCA can enter a CTT open event anywhere in the country, not just in London North.

ECCA is not a CTT district though - it is the Eastern Counties Cycling Association. Member clubs are based throughout East Anglia and London, and CCA is member of ECCA. Most ECCA events are "association" events not "open" events. This means that only riders who are members of ECCA-affiliated clubs can enter them. So you can enter ECCA events.
