Saturday 13th April 9.30am club ride

edited April 2013 in Club runs
Looks like we have got a window of nice weather coming up tomorrow morning.

So, as its a southerly wind we can have two options: Two bridges(+cardington/Cople) in either a Saturday direction

or a Sunday one:

Most votes in the morning wins !

Now, just two questions remaining - 'Is it a summer bike day' and 'anybody remember what kit to wear in double digit temperatures' ???

A great turnout this morning (18 I think) for the classic two bridges ride. In true democratic fashion a vote was taken for the ride direction and as expected the 'down Everton hill' camp won.

The route was not exactly as mapped above but more of a random (quick) meander to the hangers at Cardington and back again, and probably a version of the route that has never been done before! Roads were mostly pretty quiet, apart from a white van man who was within millimetres of taking out Emma, Pete an Ruth on the blunham roundabout when he did the most mindless overtaking move we have ever seen!

Man of the day has to be TomH who was in unbeatable form. He was at the front almost all of the way round setting a cracking pace and easily won every hill climb and the sprint into Ashwell. We all think he has been doing some secret training.........

Finally tally was 39 miles @ 16 avg. Thanks all for a great ride,
