sunday club run, 20th 9.00

edited April 2013 in Club runs
Folks, just to let you know that i wont be out tomorrow. What with track on friday and the IC10 today ive run out of passes.
If theres a lot out like today probably best to split into 2 groups. If you all ride off together please look after slower / newer riders.

Ta.

  • great day for cycling; eight of us went out to Woburn at a cracking pace, group split at Sharpenhoe - Strappy and I caught a tailwind back to Henlow. I made it back home with 55 miles at an average of 19.5mph; those tri-spoke wheels make a super noise and just zip along!
  • yeah that was such a nice day! I Loved those helicopter wheels they were fantastic
Rupert.... We didn't realise you dropped off until we stopped; we waited but guessed (hoped, now?) you turned off??
  • what a cracker of a day great ride by all ---- langford, clifton, ireland, amphill, stepingley, eversholt, back via sundon sharpenhoe shillington .

there i was bowling along i thought i would bypass the shapenhoe clapper hill as some of the guys were racing
tha day before, looked behind me only to see jon by his lonesome, everyone else had gone up the hill.

finished the ride @ 60 miles 19mph nice with the tail wind on the return leg ,glad you got back ok jon.

    see you all next week.

    strappy.
  • Hi Nathaniel, thanks - you're right and sorry that you didn't know before you stopped. Normally I'm up for the 19mph ride but haven't been able to ride recently so I turned off, continued the ride via the gliding club at Dunstable (good cafe) and by the time I got back I'd completed 65 - 70 miles but at about 17.5mph which is very different to 19! See you all next time and thanks for the ride out. Rupert
  • 17.5mph sounds about right for a Sunday club ride - I'd have done that with you, Rupert

Sorry to hear I missed your one and only club ride in the last few months. Here's to the next time
