Saturday ride routes

edited May 2008 in Road Racing
I'm looking for some new routes to do on the Saturday rides, so I thought I'd see if anybody had any suggestions.

What would be ideal, are rides that are about 25-30 miles long with a couple of bumps (what you call hills around here!) in them for a bit of interest.

Thanks,

  • Hi David, I agree, some new routes would be good. We could go the other side of the A1 but I'm not if there are any quiet routes and there are no bumps really. Does anyone knows any rides round Henlow, Clifton, shefford area etc that are quiet and that would give the 25-30 mile distance? Alternatively are there any routes around Reed etc

    Thanks

  • Sorry if this is an area you already cover - but right now - with the fields and bluebells in bloom - the loop on the right side of this route (Shaftenhoe End - Meesden - Anstey - Nuthampstead) is very scenic and bumpy. You can get yerselves to Barley and back more directly of course if you want to bring the miles down to under 30.
