Inter Club 15. 23rd june

edited June 2013 in Time Trial
Folks, just a reminder of the inter club 15 on 23rd june.

You can still enter via the BRCC entry system. Quite a few good CCA already down but more needed, particularly middle and slower riders.

  • When is the last rider likely to be off? I have a christening at 1300hrs in Windsor, but would give it a go if I'm quick enough?
  • You can request an early start Luke, Tim would be able to ask BRCC. First rider is at 9am, so if you're one of the first it will be over by 9.40.
And it's not down to how fast you are, it's about getting you and your bike on that start line :)

    The course is HERE

It's a local course, early in the morning rather than the afternoon so it doesn't mess with your day, and we need to continue our win from the last Interclub. We also won this one last year! I'll say no more.
  • I think the start time is 9.00 am. Usually about 60 riders so last rider off about 10. Plenty of time to get to Windsor!

There were riders last year only just getting under the hour so i dont think you need to worry about being fast enough!
  • I'll do it. Just signing up now, is there a way I can get off as an early rider Tim?
  • Entered. I've just looked at the route and i'll need to be careful not to turn into work out of habit!!
  • I'm entered too. Will be on a standard road bike so will be one of the middle/ slower riders you mentioned.
  • Doubt you'll be one of the slower riders, especially with Flat Coke!!!
  • Oh how i enjoy life getting in the way of my cycling. Can't do this now, will ask for my name to be removed :(
  • What's the cut off date for entry?
You did say you wanted mid - slow riders too!
  • Probably in the next day or two, as long as you sign in with the BRCC widget as above, you should be fine. All riders welcome and Luke, i will ask the organiser for an early start for you .
  • Cheers MC, I was looking for that.

15mph crosswinds tomorrow, anybody have any advice on Wheel depths? I have a choice of 82, 50 or my winter Aksiums?

    Cheers

    Luke
  • Good luck chaps. Hope the weather isnt too bad for you. Hammer up hammer hill!
  • With them kind of crosswinds I'd gear up for 50's, at least if the front has got a habit of being a bit vague with the 82's...... Take both if possible and decide when your there..
  • Cheers, I'll take both, thinking of 50 on the front.
  • Hope you have/had a good ride, pretty windy out there.
  • Raw results

Bloomin windy out there today and some rough roads.

Thanks for the advice from Tom and Luke who were out before me.

As ever with Beds Road, a well run event with results as soon as we got back and a free cup of tea. So thanks to Graham and the team.
  • It certainly was windy out there this morning!

Am well chuffed with 43mins for my first 15miler and first time ever on that course. Congrats to all - some good times. Does anyone know which club won overall?

    Emma
  • Nice one chaps. I missed the Ike Saul this morning as I needed more than 3 hours sleep before doing something like that. Should have popped down and taken my turn! Oh well, good to see so many CCA in the top half of the table. Nice one Jason!
  • Well done Emma on being 2nd lady.

Provisional results are BRCC 1st, HNCC 2nd, CCA 3rd, IRC 4th.

We did well within the top 10 but as ever the lower positions count which BRCC & HNCC dominated. The Nomads got a decent team out, hopefully we'll get similar with our own 25.
