Catford Hill Climb Classic, Sun 13 October 2013
This sounds like a great event to spectate and a brilliant gurning opportunity, if you're bold enough to take it on.
Here are highlights of last year's event ... including our very own Chris Pearce: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvA3QiawC4s
This perfidious hill commences with a false flat, but your overconfidence is quickly punished as the gradient increases to 25%. It levels off to 12% but only to return to the unbearable gradient of 1 in 4 for the last 100 metres. Riders give everything in this 2-3 min race.
Entries don't open until July. In preparation, our club Hill Climb will take place around the end of September and our Interclub Hill Climb is on Sun 6th October. C'mon, you know you want to really
