Lee Valley Youth CC - Summer Series #3
The third and final event in Lee Valley Youth CC's summer series takes place on Saturday morning at Redbridge Cycling Centre ("Hog Hill").
There are separate races for all ages from U8 to U16. Enter-on-the-line is available, and since many of the big guns will be away at the national championships it's a great opportunity if you'd like to take your first steps in road racing.
All the info is available here.
Any questions about entry, gear restrictions, etc.? - just post here or whisper a message.

Adam and Helena competed in the large, competitive Under 12 race. Youth racing is so strong nowadays that the peloton was moving at a speed that would have been normal for Under 14s just a few years ago. Adam held his own in the bunch though and secured 10th place at the hill-top finish.
Helena's lightning-fast start positioned her well and, although she eventually lost contact with the main bunch, she worked well with other individuals until the final hill where she pulled away from them on the climb to the finish.
James raced with the Under 10s after concentrating mostly on track racing and triathlons for a couple of months. The usual strong riders from the Eastern region and from London were present, and the race was full of brief attacks and chases. On the final lap what was left of the bunch was routed up the hill to the finish. Three riders clipped off the front and James couldn't catch them. However, he managed to drop the rest of the bunch to finish in 4th place.
The next youth racing at Redbridge (Hog Hill) is on 20th July. All the details and online entry are here.
