David, that sounds lovely, but as I haven't been on my bike for two weeks (hols getting in the way again...) I'm looking forward to doing a shorter route with Jane and anyone else who'd like to join us.

Eight of us out this morning for an excellent spin around the Cambridgeshire lanes. A little fresh to start out, but soon warmed up in the glorious sunshine. Good work on the front by Adam and David (not me !) meant that we made swift progress to Barton and onto Toft/Bourn. Good rotation on the front thereafter, although I was complained at, unfairly I think, for upping the pace too much

Almost lost Vic at the stop in Longstowe where he decided to see if the 10,000V electricity cable was earthed by grabbing the loose cable going into the ground. Luckily it was !!!

We left the un-electrocuted Vic at Gamlingay and continued through Sutton and then onto Northfields for an Emma induced sprint from the Ashwell 4 sign. Sprint was won by David (not me again !) although Emma did cheat a bit by not telling him where the finish actually was !

Final stats were 47@ 17avg & an almost unheard of complete following of the mapmyride route with no deviations !
