Had a few weeks a hilly rides so lets do a flat one this week

Ashwell-Everton-Yelling-Waresly-Potton-Edworth-Ashwell

    Twelve of us out this morning for the flat and fast route above. Peloton was looking sharp, with some good rotations at the front & some neat riding behind. It was almost like we knew what we were doing !!

    The cracking pace set by TomH at the start continued for pretty much the whole of the ride, and cranked up to overdrive when we hit Northfields road. A good lead out by Tim was taken up by TT Emma who tried to win the sprint by ripping our legs off ! Luckily we all hung on so in the end she was the perfect lead out woman, for myself, James and Tom to contest the sprint finish.

    As the sun was out, we popped into the Bushel and Strike for some well earned refreshment and to marvel how Vic managed to fit his 'mobile' phone in his pockets ;)

    Final stats were 41 @ 17.1 avg. Thanks all for a great morning.

    Although I do think that it is slightly unfair for you all to have ganged up to stop a lady winning the sprint. Oh well if you do have to resort to such tactics..... :-)
