leg warmers that aren't ridiculously tight?

edited November 2013 in General
the leg warmers i've tried so far (dhb (and I wear dhb bib shorts....) and mavic) are too tight to even put on, let alone ride in..... has anyone had this problem & found some that aren't designed for hill climbers? I looked at altura ones too and they looked too skinny to even bother trying

rapha sizing says I won't fit in theirs, for my height

cheers

  • Be careful not to get leg and arm warmers confused, young nathaniel. I've got a set of club ones and DHB ones to and they fit fine... Maybe you need to lay off the protein for a bit?
  • haha cheers for that Will ;) pizza*
  • Try specialized - Rapha and gore were too small for me also

I have a pair of the Craft 3D leg warmers that are pretty good and very flexible so no issues with them being too tight. Only minor complaint is that they are a bit loose around the ankles which is only slightly irritating at worst - if I have my socks pulled over the top it makes no difference anyway. Wouldn't reccomend if you're wanting something for the depths of winter but good for the current climate.
  • Maybe worth seeing what Aldi's updated range of gear will yield if you can fight your way to the front of the queue on 21st Nov. It's certain to be cheap at least.

Apparently, it's the 'leading-edge cycling brand that’s going to be talked about in cycling circles for years to come'. Then again, my uncle does the writing for Aldi. I believe he's having a laugh.
  • Cheers martin!!

maybe it's worth investing in Aldi stock asap if they're a public company ;p
