New Year, new campaign against pot-holes

edited January 2014 in General
If you have a couple of minutes to spare, please report your 'favourite' pot-hole to the council.

For pot-holes in Cambridgeshire, it only takes 2 minutes and they respond quickly by email. (Actually getting on and fixing the hole takes them a bit longer, as you can probably imagine)

Here's to some new tarmac and happy cycling in 2014

  • Good shout Jane,

Ive had a go at reporting (again) the road from Wendy to croydon that looks like its been cluster bombed. It is already reported on their system and i was a little stumped at the question...when did you first notice the problem?...er, its always been like that.

Ha ha ... yes 'cluster-bombed' describes that one nicely

It took them a while, but they did do some patching there last year. Lots of new holes in the meantime though ... so the council definitely needs pestering
  • There's a piece in the Royston Weekly News (with colour photo n all) of our cluster-bombed road:

Road is a death trap, says angry motorist

Cambridgeshire C Council said 'repair work on this road is a priority. We hope to have it repaired by the end of March, subject to the weather.'

Call me a cynic, but I guarantee we will have weather between now and the end of March
  • Ah yes, the Beirut boulevard...( actually a bit harsh on Beirut) ...made the mistake of going down there on the tandem with Mrs D the other day terrible and getting still worse.

If its repaired by the end of March ill eat my tubs.
  • Careful what you say Tim. Mind you silk walled ones are probably okay to eat.
  • What type of glue will you use as a sauce?!
  • Was the mistake riding down the pot holed road or taking Mrs D on a tandem!?!?

Hope you weren't wearing your see-thru shorts Tim, there's only so much a marriage can take...
