winter shoes

Hi all,

I'm toying with the idea of getting some winter shoes for the next couple of months of misery. Was just seeing if anybody had any advice/recommendations/warnings about any brands in particular... I have quite slim feet so fit in SIDIs well, but not really up for selling my grandmother for a pair of winter shoes.

Any comments gratefully received.

my combo is basically the same as theos but i have these defeet socks which have quite good reviews and i rate them.

went for dhb extreme conditions overshoes and already use some thick merino wool socks with normal cycling shoes (sidis, obviously). Put them through a few hours this morning, just to say that my feet didn't start feeling wet or cold until 3 and a half hours into the ride, not bad seeing as it was dead chilly from the word go and rained for at least 3 hours... ta for the advice!

you will never completely eliminate water from getting into your shoes as the water soaks into your leggings which are then underneath you over shoes
