Unfortunate fall for Adam H after Sundon. Broken collar bone in 2 places. Hope he mends well. Also MC fell on the way to meet us but no broken bones.
  • Hi all

I just wanted to say a big thanks to those who picked me and calmed me down after the crash, especially Pete and Tim. I'm sorry I can't recall who called Mrs H, but big thanks there as well. As Robbie says, I've managed to break my collar bone in two places with some fragment and one bit tucked under the other, which in turn means it won't just fuse on its own.

But it's also reminded me how good it is to ride in a club, with people who know how to help you out when you get in trouble. So massive thanks again.

I'll go back to my codeine-induced haze now...
  • Crickey, we thought it was a collar bone fracture, really strange road conditions today. Unlucky MC too. hope you are ok.

Adam, you were amazing, heal well, super tough guy.
  • Bad luck Adam and MC, hope you recover quick. Especially Adam, that sounds like a nasty break.
  • Unlucky Adam. Hope it mends quickly, you did well to sit there in the cold with that injury.

  • Get well soon guys.

When you run out of codeine, this is how you should treat your injury (cornet optional).

    null

Good luck with your recovery, you'll be back on the road for when the sun comes out!
  • This really sucks Adam, hope you recover fast.
Not to be patronising but here's your picture Will ;)
  • Club runs could be very different. We could also include a pack of dogs...

Adam, if you are confused by this thread it might not be the codene.

    Daniel
  • This stuff must be stronger than I thought...

Thanks for all the well wishes. Hope your injuries heal soon, MC

    Strappy definitely the Jonah.

See you all on the road soon.
  • Retro-fit to better cope with black ice... Stabilisers

Hi Adam...oops......there's the rub of being out of the club runs...glad you are o.k. Adam........apologies to Adam H.........advice still holds though Adam broken bones......don't let them put you off...get it plated..it will probably save you having a bone graft off the hip like wot I ad. If you missed my comments on other thread here they are in proper place...Sorry to hear of your break Adam...Guess you'll be plated like mine was. I rode for 2 years with the bone broken in 4. If you have good mobility of the arm they don't tend to pin it. Mine eventually caused problems and I had to have an op. to put it back together.....Don't let the medics persuade you to wait and see...get it fixed now and good luck.
